Stairs to Trail at JFK Bridge Finally Open (Take #2 June 2010)

Stairs from JFK Bridge to trail opend 19 February 2010

After long delays and much anticipation the stairs from the JFK Blvd. Bridge to the Trail opened on February 19, 2010. Reconstruction of the sidewalks of JFK Blvd. closed the stairs again. They finally re-openned on June 17, 2010. The stairs incorporate a "bicycle trough" so that bicycles can easily be wheeled up or down the steps.
